1992
  • Spray Engineering Devices, a partnership firm, started by Mr. Vivek Verma & Mr. Prateek Verma.
  • First product: Spray Pond Nozzles.
1995
  • Launch of Manual Cooling & Condensing System with Single Entry Jet Condensers and Spray Pond Clusters.
1996
  • Commercial Production to process sheet (steel) metal with capacity of 10 Ton/day started at Unit – I, Baddi, Dist. Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India.
  • Manufacturing of Water Jet Ejectors having applications in Sugar / Pharma / Food / Process industries started.
2000
  • Launch of fully Automated Cooling & Condensing Systems (Vacuum Generation System) with 90% sugar industry penetration. Applications in food / pharma industry also made.
2001
  • Commercial Production started at Unit – II, Distt. Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India.
2002
  • Successful introduction of Direct Contact Heaters in Sugar industry.
2004
  • SED take over Partnership firms, Spray Engineering Devices and C&C Systems.
  • Mr. Sanjay Gupta, C.A., C.S. joined as whole time Director, designated as Director (Finance), to the Board of Spray Engineering Devices Limited.
  • Launch of Energy Efficiency Solutions for sugar industry.
  • Condensate ‘Flash Cigar'™ and Vacuum Batch Pan production.
2005
  • Launch of Melter and Mechanical Circulator for Sugar industry.
2006
  • Commercial Production to process sheet (steel) metal with capacity of 35 Ton/day started at Unit – III, Dist. Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India.
  • Set-up of IPR and Technology Section.
  • Raised Rs. 600 Millions from Private Equity (PE) Players.
  • Sweat Equity Issue to employees of the company.
  • Acquisition of Sugar unit Jay Mahesh Sugar Industries Ltd. (JMSIL) in Maharashtra as a showcase of SED’s engineering skills.
  • Incorporation of Spray Engineering Sugars Limited with the objective of manufacturing and trading in sugar and its allied products in India and abroad.
  • Merger of SED Thermal Engineering Limited and Genus Steels Pvt. Ltd. with Spray Engineering Devices Limited.
  • Breakthrough in design & engineering of Vertical Continuous Pans for evaporative crystallization of sugar solutions. Development of Spray Continuous Pan ( SCP® ). Patent / Industrial Design and TM applications filed.
  • Industrial Design registered for ‘Vertical Continuous Vacuum Pan’ by The Patent Office, India.
2007
  • Mr. Rajeev Chadha, B.E., MBA, joined as a whole time Director, designated as Director (Marketing), to the Board of Spray Engineering Devices Limited.
  • Entered into 50:50 Joint Venture with IPRO Gmbh, and formed a company “IPROSUGAR Engineering Pvt. Ltd.” for Consultancy and Engineering services.
  • Achieved a growth of 113% to Rs.1500 Millions in top line as compared to previous year.
  • Industrial Design registered for ‘Diffuser’ by The Patent Office, India.
2008
  • JMSIL became operational in March 2008 by means of renovated energy saving devices and technology provided by SED and an objective of expansion plan to 5000TCD is set.
  • Ultra tech & modern 80,000 sq. feet multi-storied office complex inaugurated at Mohali, Punjab, India.
  • Technology Development Board (TDB), Ministry of Science and Technology, approved Development and Commercialization of “Spray Continuous Pan ( SCP® )” with a funding of 4.3 crores.
  • Industrial Design registered for ‘Nozzle’ by The Patent Office, India.
  • Industrial Design registered for ‘Vertical Continuous Vacuum Pan’ in Pakistan.
  • Spray Engineering Devices with Logo trademark registered in India.
  • Two Patent Applications “Apparatus for the Improved Vertical Continuous Pan for Crystallization of Sugar” and “A Vacuum Pan Mechanical Circulator Assembly for Evaporating Crystallizing Sugar Solution” allowed in Pakistan.
2009
  • MoU with the Bhogpur Cooperative Sugar Mills Limited, Punjab for setting up of 18MW of co-gen plant along with expansion / moderanisation of existing sugar plant to 5500 TCD on B.O.O.T basis for 19 years.
  • Three Industrial Designs registered for ‘Nozzle’ by The Patent Office, India.
  • Three Industrial Designs registered for ‘Nozzle’ in Pakistan.
  • Industrial Design registered for ‘Basin Cum Key’ by The Patent Office, India.
  • Industrial Design registered for ‘Heat Exchange Tube’ by The Patent Office, India.
  • Dr. (Mrs.) Vasudha Shirish Keskar, Ph.D (Analytical Chemistry), Vice President, ICUMSA (International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis) inducted as Independent Director to the Board of SED.
  • Patent Application “Apparatus for the Improved Vertical Continuous Pan for Crystallization of Sugar” GRANTED in Pakistan, South Africa, Ukraine and decision of grant is made in EAPO.
  • Patent Application “A Vacuum Pan Mechanical Circulator Assembly for Evaporating Crystallizing Sugar Solution” GRANTED in Pakistan.
  • Patent for Utility Model for “Vacuum Pan Mechanical Circulator Assembly” granted in Ukraine, China, Russia & Japan
  • Two Patent Applications “Improved Distributor for Falling Film Evaporator” and “Improved Falling Film Heat Exchanger” ACCEPTED in Pakistan.
2010
  • SCP® trademark registered in India.
