Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)
Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) is a modern wastewater treatment concept aimed at recovering clean water from industrial effluents while leaving behind no liquid waste. The idea is to reuse as much water as possible and safely manage the remaining solids. While many companies follow the traditional route of ETP + RO + Evaporator + Dryer, this comes with high costs, complex operations, and a large plant footprint. At SED, we reimagined this process. Instead of relying on heavy pre-treatment, chemical dosing, and sludge handling, our ZLD system is built for direct effluent treatment. We remove the need for RO and ETP setups — our solution treats raw wastewater directly, returns clean water, and recovers solid residue in powder form — with no steam, no chemicals, and minimal footprint.
