What Is Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)

What Is Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)

Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) solution is an advanced wastewater treatment process designed to eliminate the discharge of liquid waste.

It maximizes clean water recovery for reuse and converts the remaining concentrate into dry solid. SED is equipped to handle even the most challenging effluents & leachate with higher efficiency.

About Our ZLD Process

Step Icon

Pre-Filtration Stage

In this stage, oil, grease, and suspended solids are effectively removed, followed by pH neutralization for further treatment.

Pre-Heating Stage

The condensate heat is recovered in the pre-heating of feed stream through a Plate Heat Exchanger (PHE).

Evaporation Stage

The pre-heated wastewater is fed into the MVR Based Low-Temperature Evaporator (LTE®), to achieve maximum clean water recovery through efficient evaporation.

Concentration Stage

The concentrate from the LTE® is transferred to Forced Circulation Evaporator (FCE) for maximum concentration. This process reduces further dryer load and size that ultimately minimizes operating cost.

Drying Stage

In the final stage, the slurry is fed into the dryer, where all remaining moisture is evaporated, resulting in a dry powder as the final output.
