COD Reduction
COD, or Chemical Oxygen Demand, is a measure of the amount of organic compounds present in wastewater. It shows how much oxygen would be needed to break down these organic materials. High COD levels mean the water contains a lot of pollutants, especially from industries like pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food processing, and many others.
COD usually comes from dissolved organic matter like solvents, oils, alcohols, sugars, or other industrial compounds. If this water is discharged without treatment, it harms the environment and aquatic life and fails to meet pollution control standards.

Challenges with High COD Wastewater
Tough to Treat
Normal biological methods often can’t handle high COD levels.
Strong Smell and Colour
COD-heavy wastewater usually comes with a bad odor and dark colour.
Expensive Treatment
Conventional methods to reduce COD can be costly and require heavy chemical use.
Strict Discharge Norms
Industries must meet government COD-level limits before discharging water.
Our Solution – COD Stripper Column
We offer a specialized solution to tackle high COD in water. Our Stripper Column System, is specially designed to remove COD-causing substances. Here’s how it works:
The high-COD water is fed into our stripper column.
The system targets and removes volatile organic compounds responsible for COD.

These organics are recovered from the top of the column — you're not just removing COD, you're recovering valuable carbon sources.
The clean, COD-free water is collected from the bottom, ready for reuse or further polishing.
