How It Works
Feed Distribution
Liquid feed is evenly distributed across the top of the plate pack using SED’s precision-engineered distributor, forming a uniform falling film over each plate.
Heat Transfer & Evaporation
Steam or low-pressure vapor flows horizontally over the plates, while the liquid descends vertically. Custom plate patterns create turbulence to maximize heat transfer, enabling rapid evaporation and high concentration rates.
MVR Integration
The system integrates Mechanical Vapor Recompression to recover energy, reduce or eliminate the need for external steam, and lower the overall carbon footprint.
Condensate Recovery
Vapor is condensed and recovered, supporting multi-effect operation and contributing to energy savings.
