Spray Engineering Devices Limited (SED) is pioneer in the fields of Evaporation, Heat Exchanger, Condensation and Crystallization. Established in 1992 from a modest start of manufacturing of spray nozzles, SED today has established its existence in many countries by providing innovative technologies and solutions for sugar & allied industries. SED has emerged as one of the fastest growing technology driven energy efficient engineering company, striving to provide world class integrated energy saving equipment and solutions for sugar and allied industries across the globe. We deliver customized project engineering products to our customers on stipulated time developed with our skilled team supported by strong in-house production facilities.

SED has an in-house R & D unit status granted by Govt. of India in 2007 and is active with three modern fabrication & automation units at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, India. Our products are successfully commissioned and performing efficiently in more than 500 Sugar factories in India and around 40 countries globally.

To offer the quality products & services to the clients, the production division is equipped with most sophisticated and modernized fabrication CNC machines and testing machines with highly trained skilled manpower. All our fabrications are done in-house in the production facility strictly adhering to the international quality standards and eco-friendly norms. SED instrumentation & automation division has its own testing laboratory to ensure utmost precision and accuracy of the instruments.

SED had offered modern designed, engineered equipments, project management consultancy for green as well as brown field sugar & allied projects, complete plant automation, EPC solutions & turnkey projects. SED offers high quality turnkey projects & services which includes comprehensive solution to its valued customers with efficient project management systems of International Standards. SED strives to achieve energy efficiency and accomplish benchmarks for steam & power consumption in the process industries.

SED has identified several potential areas for energy conservation of sugar & allied industries to achieve increased productivity at reduced costs with optimum utilization of resources. The steam consumption of sugar industry has been reduced to 25% on cane using SED's Innovative products and technologies. It can befurther possible with 15-20% steam consumption by using modern efficient equipment & technologies. The power (40 kW/Ton)consumption has been reduced upto 22-24 kW/Ton on cane and factory has been managed to operate with Zero Fresh Water requirement.

SED has revolutionized in the water sector by providing most efficient clean water recovery and recycling solutions through low temperature evaporation technology based on mechanical vapour compression/recompression system. This patented technology is a part of continuous R&D and operating without use of heat i.e. boiler, steam, cooling water etc. eliminating use of Fossil & Non-Fossil Fuel Boiler, Condenser & Cooling Tower units etc. The technology developed by SED is highly energy efficient and eco-friendly falling film evaporator with Mechanical Vapour Compression/Recompression system suitable for concentrating of any type of wastewater. This product owns a unique technology in separating water from the raw effluent and designed for low temperature evaporation which is possible from 25 to 80⁰C. We have developed this module for wide-scale applications in industrial and domestic sectors for almost 100% recycling of water back to process which aims not only to accomplish Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) but also for Zero Liquid Intake (ZLI). The required footprint area is around 10% of the conventional methodologies with reduced manpower, eliminating the use of chemicals.

SED has also established Boiler Free Jaggery (Solid, Semi-Solid, Powder, Cake) Production Unit for 100% bagasse saving which is commercially available for a sustainable technological solution assuring profitable business proposition.
